Paint.NET 4.0.21 Final + Portable + Plugins

Paint.NET is a simple yet powerful and convenient graphics editor. It is positioned as an excellent replacement for the standard MS Paint from the Windows delivery. Supported formats: BMP, IPEG, PNG, TIF, GIF, TGA and own PDN format. After downloading the application to cwer.ws, you get the following options: working with layers, applying effects, working with the scanner and camera, red eye correction, scaling from 1% to 3200%.
Key Features:
  • Simple intuitive interface. All features and interface elements were designed with the expectation that the user immediately started working.
  • Layers. As a rule, only expensive paid programs for working with images are able to work with layers. Paint.NET provides this opportunity for free.
  • Powerful tools. Paint.NET has powerful yet simple tools for working with vector graphics, highlighting (magic wand), cloning images, as well as a simple text editor, tools for scaling (from 1% to 3200%) and color replacement.
  • Unlimited history. To correct possible mistakes made during the editing of photos or drawings in the program Paint.NET provides a function of history. Each of your actions can be deleted and then resumed again. A long history is limited only by the available disk space.
  • Special effects. Paint.NET contains many special effects to improve the image. In addition to the standard, familiar to us on similar paid programs, there is also a unique effect - 3D rotation. As usual there are also such irreplaceable functions as image brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, etc.
  • Plugins. For the graphic editor Paint.NET, many plug-ins have been developed that enrich the program's features or simply add new special effects.
Changes in version 4.0.20:
  • New: Dark Theme support
  • New: .NET Framework 4.7 is now required, and will be automatically installed if necessary
  • New: Explorer thumbnails are now supported for TGA and DDS file types
  • Fixed and Improved: High-DPI support throughout the application
  • Fixed: Color Picker tool was not always honoring the "Switch to previous tool" setting
  • Fixed the arrow keys not working properly until the second shape (or line / curve) was drawn. Reported here
  • Fixed the zoom slider being "wiggly" while being dragged around
  • Fixed a glitch with the mouse cursor (resize handle) at the lower-left corner of the main window
  • Fixed a crash in the Shape tool renderer (BadNumberException via ID2D1Geometry :: GetWidenedBounds)
  • Fixed a hang in the Frosted Glass
  • Fixed a hang in the Levels adjustment that was reported here
  • Fixed a rendering issue in the Move Selected Pixels tool that was reported here
  • Fixed: Canvas now processes WM_MOUSEHWHEEL, which was preventing some horizontal mouse wheels and trackpad swipe gestures from working properly
  • Fixed: Plugins will no longer be completely crash the app on Windows 10 S (note, however, that plugins other than custom Shapes do not work on Windows 10 S)
  • Fixed: a data loss bug when saving very large images (greater than 4GB). Reported here
Changes in version 4.0.21:
  • Fixed a bug where a pasted image would be clipped after choosing "Keep canvas size"
OS: Windows 7 SP1 or newer (including Windows 8, 8.1, and 10) with the .NET Framework 4.7.1

  1. Paint.net is (at least in our opinion) the simplest option on the list. It still comes with a ton of powerful features like layers, adjustments, and user-created plugins, but is simple enough that complete newcomers can grasp it immediately. The features are across the top, and filters are accessible from a drop-down menu.
Some of the special effects are pretty cool: sharpen, blur, distort, emboss, etc. You can even get some Instagram-esque vintage effects in there for good measure. We don’t want to waste too much time on this one. It’s got a lot of features, an easy interface, and a simple layout. If you’re struggling with others on this list, then stick with the easiest option.

  19. Apex Weather is a new weather app from the developers of Apex Launcher, one of the best Android launchers. This weather app is above average. You get your basic stuff like the current, daily, and hourly forecasts. It also includes a weather map, severe weather alerts, and some of the better clock and weather widgets we've seen in a while. It even shows less common stuff like sunrise and sunset times, air pressure, UV index, and more. You can get weather forecasts in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia along with a rather bland news blog if you want one. The ads can be a tad annoying, but otherwise this weather app checks all of the boxes. You can also remove the ads with a single $5.99 payment.
